Hey all, I'll be in Dothan this December and wondered if anyone is interested in a ride and eat?  Of course a lot can happen between now and then, but my free days should be; Dec 23,24,26

If there is interest, I'll need to depend on someone there to pick the route and place to eat.

Sooooo.....let me know what you think.

Tombstone,

Don't get to upset, there are not many people on this fourm down in the southern part of the state.  In fact I think there are only two of us near Dothan, Bigger Jim is the other member.  When  you get in Dothan PM me and let me know, I will try to get up with you and show you around.  I do have a lot of family plans during this time so it may be tough to fit in some ride time.

Most folks will not post a " I can't ride" post. By being the holidays a lotta folks will be doing the family thing. Planning a ride around that time will, for most folks, be a last minute thing. Just bump your post or do a new one a day or so before the ride.

Oh no...I'm not upset. I was just making fun of myself for not getting any action on the thread!  happy  I don't expect anyone to get all excited about riding with me, I just thought it was humerous.....with the humor directed squarely at me. And you're correct in saying that Christmas time is busy...I wondered if anyone would be available. But, at least now I know how to get a reaction on this forum......pout!   lol

As another poster suggested I'll either bump this thread or start a new one when I leave Utah and head for Dothan, and hopefully someone else will want/have open time to ride also!   Thumbs up

Thanks to all of you for your warm welcome and hospitality. Unfortunantly due to the extreme weather we are getting I thought it best to fly to "bama instead of ride. Bummer!   Sad  I made this ride last year and even though it was cold, I enjoyed most of it, but the way the weather is going I'm certain it will be quite a bit colder than last year.  Our roads here are snowpacked for the last several days...makes it hard to get out of town.  thumbdown

Sooo...anyway. Merry Christmas to all of you! I hope to ride out there next summer, if that happens I'll post here again and see if anyone is interested in getting together.   hi

Got home early this morning (1:00am) after a week at Fort Rucker! Had a GREAT time visiting family. Your weather was cold...40s 50s but back home in Utah they  had a couple of large snow storms while I was at Rucker. A couple of highlights; went to the Barber museum again  respect   the beach near Destin, and some hiking.

I hope to ride out this summer, I'll freshen up this thread or start a new one then in hopes of meeting someone for a ride or meal. I hope your Christmas Season was good, mine was! Have a good 2010.   Thumbs up
