Prob because they know they will screw something up and you will have to go back again, so they are covering that expense too............lol

Don't ever give those jackasses your phone number for any reason either. I wanted to look at a certain model of bike and they didn't have one and didn't know when they would be getting another one so the sales guy asked for my phone number and said he would call when they get one in. They got one in about a week later and I went to look at it, sit on it, etc. but decided I wanted to wait a while and told them I would let then know when I was ready and that I was mainly just doing a little research in preparation for buying a bike later in the year. They called me so often that I have their number memorized. Every time I see it I just pick up the phone and immediately slam it back down.

I also went there for the first service on my GSX-R since its required by the terms of the warranty and they charged around $250 for an oil change and tightening up a few loose bolts. When I had a Kawasaki I think I only paid about $70 for the same service at Pelham Powersports and everyone used to tell me how much Pelham Powersports sucked. I guess they'd never tried Big #1 for anything. Oh and on top of the crazy price they acted like I was a moron for expecting to have the bike back by the weekend when I dropped it off on Tuesday. Pelham Powersports did the service while I browsed in their store. I was back on the road in less than an hour.

When I went to pick up the bike from Big #1 it took them 30 minutes to go around back and get it for me and then they said they had to take it for a test ride. The guy that brought it around did a wheelie on it right in front of me. I'll never spend another dime there unless there's no other alternative.

I do still go in and waste their time by sitting on their bikes and talking to the salespeople if I'm thinking of buying something but I'll definitely buy it somewhere else. Of course I usually only talk to them so they'll be nice and let me play with everything. I sure don't do it for their knowledge. I've caught them telling me all kinds of incorrect information. I don't think I could sell something if I didn't know anything about the product. It also irritated me that once when I was there one of the salespeople was talking to a guy that said he had never been on a bike before and he was telling him that he would be fine starting off on a GSX-R 1000.
