Looks like we have somebody kicking of the challenge already Man you guys are in serious trouble for the MAC Challenge. Sonicsix has got 2 counties and his photography looks great. If you guys need help with the challenge, let us know. You certainly do NOT have to go the trouble Sonicsix has, just post your pics somewhere we can look at them. Get busy, now is the time to ride, get some shots, put them up, or send them in, but send us something so we know you are on the right track. If you need help with any of the following: -taking pictures or subject matter -posting pictures, or uploading -confusion about rules -or any other questions, no matter how bizarre Post in one of the boards, hit the contact page, or EMAIL us at contact [at] bamarides.com

Anyway, updated the site again after this weekend's ride. We've been to 8 counties so far since April 1st.

I am confused about Greene and Sumter, they both have: The county seat was established at Livingston in 1833. The Livingston State Normal School was established in 1883. Livingston is now the home of the University of West Alabama. Other towns in Sumter County include York, Epes, Cuba and Bellamy. I am sure I could figure out which was which, but thought you might explain. Great job otherwise, I think you are in the lead, unless someone is holding back? Are you finding anything interesting in these smaller counties, or are you just cruising till you see something? Either way, you have the best coverage, and great photography. Just hoping for something REALLY CoOl to popup that I was not aware of. I did like that statue in Demopolis, never seen that one before. That pic might make it into the Rides Guide if you will let us have it. Great progress

Livingston is now the home of the University of West Alabama. Other towns in Sumter County include York, Epes, Cuba and Bellamy. I fixed the Greene County page, I use the same template and seem to have forgotten to change the text on that page. Some of the recent counties I have been to I am not familiar with their history so I don't have a set objective to go see when I leave home. When I get to that county I look on my map, taking into consideration travel time and distance (am I going to multiple counties on one ride, etc) and pick a city to visit. When I get there I usually ask someone what the city is famous for, or is there a landmark of some sort, etc. Sometimes I get no answers so I move on to another town or I take a picture of what I can before I leave the county... hence the picture of the post office in Epes. There was an old schoolhouse there but I didn't feel safe stopping to take a pciture, it had a crowd hanging around it that didn't look to be very friendly so I drove on by. I like historical things, old architecture or things that just make you say "oh that's cool". 50 counties to go.... I'm sure I'll get some good pictures.

In fact, I think someone else already took one like that. I already have in mind what I am taking for Jefferson County and I think most of you will get a kick out of it. Now if the weather would cooperate... I'm ready to get out on the road again. I've got 50 more counties to go to!

Love the Tater House, did you go in? What is it a restaurant? This is a good shot too. Is that you on the bench? How many miles you got on that Reflex now? Good work
