You maybe down there with all the snowbirds. My mom had a condo in destin for a long time. I used to love going down during the "off" months for the beach. It was fun but there wasn't really anyone down there.

We go to Destin around the first of Dec and last year I rode my sporty (no shield) during the day with just a tshirt. After the sun set, I had to put on my coat. Iron is right about the temps, still pleasent in Nov.

Destin in October is the perfect time to be there. We go every year. Most surrounding state schools are in session when Alabama has their Fall Break. You can walk into any restaurant, club or business and there is no waiting. Except maybe Sammy's.  Water temp is still in the 70's and air temperatures are still warm. |
