I posted this on the Floribama Riders list-serve earlier today. Any Bama Rides Takers??: Ive never been to South America. So.. I found a motorcycle guide/rental company in Cusco that does daily trips up to Machu Picchu. Cost is $500 for one bike $400 for 2 bikes $338 for 4 bikes. They give you a helmet and goggles. does not include gas or hotel (they tell me hotels range from $10-$50). It is a 3 day off road motorcycle trip. An english speaking guide goes with. Round trip tickets from ATL to Cusco are going for $1250 today on hotwire.com. Peru moto tours picks up at the cusco airport then what I dont know. We will not need any special visas to enter Peru. Only a valid Passport and proof of a return air ticket. My wife is going to visit her family for 2 months so Im doing this. Its a good time to do it. The economy has kicked the airlines in the balls so airfares are as low as they are ever going to get. the more people go the cheaper the bike rental and the drunker we can get without being robbed  |

Will do. I talked to my friend today that said he got his passport in about a week. So that gives me some hope. Maybe you could throw a quarter in some water.. Quarters are better than penny's. |

D, I am so jealous. Machu Picchu is high on my list of places to visit. You're in for a trip of a lifetime. I wish I could go, have fun and we'll have to sit down for story time when you get back. I know you'll have plenty.
