Outside-Inside-Outside Outside of the lane to inside of the lane and back to outside of the lane? It straightens the corner to make it so the rider doesn't have to lean into the corner as much.

The "classic" roadracing line, scribes a long arc from the entry to exit of a turn, apex at the center of the arc. This means higher corner speeds. Better to turn in later, apex later, and emerge in the center of your lane. Most new riders, whether concious of it or not, will turn in early, be forced to make corrections mid-turn, and end up running wide out of corners (panic). The late turn-in will allow the rider to see farther through the corner. Anybody here who has roadraced will know what I mean when I say "square the corner off", it WILL save your life on the street. The late apex does require the rider to be able to actually steer the motorcycle, not just "lean it in".

Hmmmm with me and my bike it goes like this.
Outside (of the garage) to start the bike Inside (of the garage) to get the Wal-mart bags Outside (again) to try and start it Inside (again) to get the battery charger Outside (again) to try and start the bike Inside (again) to get the jumper cables Outside (again) to try and start the bike one more time Inside (the house) to cool off Outside (again) to cuss said motorcycle and possibly kick it Inside to take a nap and wait for it get un-flooded from where I forgot to take bag choking system out.

Well, let's see if we can't gang up on that bike and make it do right. Unless, of course, you like that routine...
