I've got a few ideas for the weekend, but nothing definite. I thought about checking out the Paint Rock Valley area or riding up to Cloudland Canyon State park in Trenton, GA. I'ld like to see what their camping area looks like, and I've heard about some great roads along the mountain too! If you have any other ideas, let me know. I'm down for whatever!

dont know weather your aware of it or not but there is an awesome backroad from rising fawn,ga that goes up the south face of lookout mountain.
 it was tar and gravel road but a fine road.......when you finally come out yur about 1 mille [turn right] from teh entrance to cloudland canyon, that is where i alwasy took my family / kids camping....i can tell you this...if you get to know cloudland teh place its one finest campgrounds bar none, from primitive to rv to cabins they have it all and its a well kept place to and dont worry about fuel...leave couldland and go left 2 mi up teh road is a general store/ gas
 then travel up to the flashing yellow light and go left [ reid road i think]  this is also lookout mountain top road that leads all teh way into chattanooga, point park, rock city..... etc etc.
on that road you will pass where they jump off lookout mountain and hang glidding....excellant views and a great ride ! take your camera !
 

I would like to get out and ride this weekend let me know what yall come up with. 

Jester...note that, if they head up to Chattanooga, you're probably looking at a 400 mile day.  If you haven't tried one that long, you might want to work up to it.  (Have you heard the term 'monkey butt'?)
