That was fun. Good job at keeping a good pace and finding the roads Mulley.

Its hard to go on a good group sport bike ride. But this was one of them.
None of the usual 130MPH on the straight-aways then JAM DOWN HARD ON THE BRAKES in the turns.
I hate that retard sh*t.

Respect for the unexpected was given to the road by the group leader (Mulley).

Everyone wore full gear.. except for "Sweet Tea"..  but he is different.

Once again Mulley kept a great pace.

5 is a good number for a sport bike ride.

good poeple too. nice to meet both Dan (on 250 ??) and Jon??  think

I would do that again.

Sry, I couldn't make this.  I honestly have felt the best this weekend and the tire situation had me concerned.  I did some research on it and it looks like all it's doing is cupping in a couple of places.  The tread is good and the pressure is at 32.  I'm going to try bumping it up a couple of pounds to level out the wear pattern.  Glad you guys had a good time.

Thanks Donavon, I hate that ridiculous crap too. I really like "The Pace" by Nick Ienatsch thats a great way to ride. It's actually a huge challenge to follow his rules. I'm not even close to mastering it. I do tend to let loose a little more when I'm not leading a group but you're responsible for the person behind you. So the leader is responsible for everyones safety. Two of us did the "The Pace" for about 200miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We pretty much could have set the cruise control except on a few of the really tight turns. I learned a lot about riding that day.

Don proved to us that humanity still exists outside of the big city. I'll let him tell that story. We even had an elderly lady at lunch ask us if we had a nice ride. Wow, that was a first. She was genuinely asking if we had fun today.

Thanks for the vid Don. That was awesome. That's the first time I've ever seen myself ride. I would love to see the whole thing sometime.

What a great day. I've been needing that. Now who's ready to get dirty next weekend?

When we pulled up in front of Ernie's for lunch, I noticed my tank was missing.  I knew immediately where it had fallen off - somewhere after we fueled up 30 minutes ago, and we rolled off with the "tank bag" perched on the seat  nutz

I took a futile search around the gas station before rejoining the group for lunch.  Just before sitting down for a bite, I received a phone call, it was a guy whose wife had seen the bag fall off the bike, and stopped to pick it up.  I had some bus. cards inside, and the next thing you know, the guy and his wife are at our lunch stop, with the bag.

I told him, I figured I had a 70% chance of getting the bag back in a small town like Columbiana, compared to maybe a 10% chance in Birmingham.  The folks came thru, and the best part is, he told me he understands the loss, because he rides a Goldwing.....how about that?

Maybe he will be a BR member soon?

Mystery Road video up next...............

Hmmm......riding off and not noticing the big black soft tank bag is not strapped to the gas tank. That sound like something I would do.

David, glad to have you. Join us anytime or better yet post up a ride and we'll join you. There is no room to be shy on here. It doesn't have to be as structured as this one. A simple lets go ride and get lost is fun too.

Nice to meet you guys.  I'm not usually a fan of group rides but that one turned out pretty good.  If you couldn't tell, I tend to make sure the guy in front of me isn't going to bin it or lock it up in the turns before I start riding closer.  I learned that the hard way!
