How much Seafoam is too much Seafoam
« on: December 22, 2010, 08:53:55 PM »
I know the bottle says treats 8-16 gallons (or whatever). Is a whole bottle too much for one motorcycle tank?
Everything has been said before, but since nobody listens we have to keep going back and beginning all over again.

I have treated 2 bikes, one twice, and I still have my same bottle.

Works great, if it dont, double up :)

One part Sea Foam, 2 parts Bombay gin, pour over ice and shake for 1 minute. Do not stir. :)
I think you answered your own question. Motorcycle tanks hold 5 or so gallons. A bottle is way to much according to the directions you just posted. If you could add more they would say so. The more you add, the more you use, the more you need to buy, the more money the folks at Sea Foam make.  :)

It won't hurt if you have done it. I have used a full bottle before, on a carb bike, and had no problems.

I've done it as well, but be careful. Seafoam produces a higher heat when burned, and I have seen this cause heat damaged plugs. Simple fix really though....if you have problems, just check/change the plugs.  :-*

I use a full bottle in my bike once a year, usually in the spring, depending on how long it sits thru the winter just to give the 6 carbs a good cleaning. I also use a little per tank during the winter to keep the gas from going bad. I can tell a difference in how it runs with the full can in there, but when I refill the tank again it's back to normal.  I have a 5.4 gallon tank.

I'm thinking of doing away with gas altogether and just running my bike on Sea Foam alone.
ill it work as a replacement for brake fluid?

I have heard that you can use it as an enema and you will feel 20 years younger!
I would not suggest that you light your farts after. :-\
