5 day ride
« on: June 17, 2013, 05:02:28 PM »
I'm starting to get pretty stoked about an upcoming trip at the end of the month. A buddy and myself will be leaving out to ride the good roads in the Smokies,  Dragon , Cherohala Skyway, Mindbender then head up the Blue Ridge Mtn parkway on our way to VA. Our destination is the ECG , ( East Coast Gathering)  which is a VTX owners rally in Fredericksburg VA.  This is the eighth annual ECG but it'll be my first time to attend. There should be around 100 in attendance , mostly from around that region but some from further away. Last year a guy rode his 1800 all the way from WA state.
I'll take a few pics along the way and post up when we get back. So unless something comes up and throws a monkey wrench in our plans this should be a great ride and a lot of fun.
Looking forward to putting the X through it's paces.

I'm not crazy...my mother had me tested.

Sounds like a great trip. Great area to ride. The M109riders group has a mid-Atlantic meet every year in Leesburg,  VA that I want to attend, but have not made it yet.

No matter what marque you ride, it's all the same wind.

what Kyle said   :-*
"Sometimes taking a photo is like eating bacon for breakfast. Not just the eating part, but the whole experience. You hear it cooking in the skillet and smell it in the air. You see it on the plate and then it's in your mouth. It's not just the taste, it's the whole experience. " -Brian A

Daily checkins will be doubtful. I don't have a smartphone or an Ipad or any of those little gadgets that make stuff like that possible. More than likely the only thing I'll be taking along with me is some clean underwear and my rain gear. But I'll see what I can do.
