Was going to head that way, but decided to stay a bit closer to home (due to weather forecast). If you decide not to go, there is a Dice Run supporting the return of some of the Alabama National Guard's 1st of the 167th Infantry's deployment  from Afghanistan this Saturday from the Sportspage Lounge on South Parkway.
Suzuki M109R
Kawasaki Concours 14

No matter what marque you ride, it's all the same wind.

I am planning to go, but not sure yet if it'll be 2  wheels or 4.  If 2 I will likely meet you to ride over.

Rode up to the Swap and Drag yesterday. No pictures of the ride up, kept the camera in the tankbag in case of rain.

Visited with Kris Cook, SlowRoad and Springer at the Dixie Abate tent.

 Some very nice cars and bikes, big swap meet, cool heads up racing and even motorcycles with tractor tires!

Check out the "petcock" on this one:

The weather was perfect most of the day, ran into some heavy rains on the way home though.

I found out a couple weeks ago that one of my cousins bought a bike and wanted to ride. I sent him a txt last week, inviting him to ride up to Section with me.

We met at Gurley Saturday morning. When he pulled up I saw he was riding a Softtail Firefighter Edition. He had it shining with a lot of extra chrome. He was surprised to see I was on a Ultra Classic Firefighter Edition. He's a Captain with the Huntsville Fire Dept and I'm a member with Valley Volunteer Fire Dept.

We headed up to Section. Once there we took a few pics. Here's the line of bikes.

Then I saw our lovely Kris at the ABATE tent. Chatted with her for a few minutes then headed down the line of tents.

We looked around at the piles of parts, watch a little grudge racing and ran into Tim and Springer at the ABATE tent.

We decided to go for a ride before the rain hit. We wanted to get a pic of the 2 bikes together.

Nice overlook from the top of Sand Mountain.

We rode some of the curvies of Jackson County and stopped by my house. After a short break, I escorted Marty out of the valley and he headed home on 72.

I checked in with him to be sure he made it home. He said he got soaked but enjoyed the day.

BTW he received an invite to the forum.

It was good to see you Johnny. I didn't take may photos.  I was too busy digging thru parts and watching the races.  It was a good day.

I was regretting my decision to drive the Explorer on the way up there and for most of the day until we left and drove home in the pouring rain.

It was also good to see Kris and Harv.

He took that bike down the drag strip several times, good sounding fast Knucklehead!

He is on the left in this picture, being told they couldn't allow a car vs bike run, only bike v bike or car v car:

 Oil tank;

 Gas tank;

 For a Harley XR 1200. Both for $10.00. Over $300.00 from a dealer. There was a few good deals there along with the usual over priced junk. Got to know what your looking at to tell the difference.  :)

Great to see you guys at the tent!  I always have a blast at the Swap-n-Drags.

And special thanks to Springer for getting soaked, helping me take the tent down.  That was above and beyond.   {36}

I cant remember what Wardogs tank looked like post crash. He might be in the market...
Bamarides is like my fridge. Even when I know there is nothing there I check it every 5 minutes anyways.

Glad to hear it. I missed him somehow. Probably to busy roasting my clutch.
