Wondering if anyone is thinking of a tire change party??!!
« on: July 29, 2017, 10:57:29 AM »
My Front is basically slick on my RT, so I would rather pay someone in beer (or money, soda, etc.) to help change my tires.

I'm starting to not ride due to the condition. I haven't ordered new tires, yet, but will be doing so very soon.

Good idea, we have not had one of those in awhile.  ;)
Go ahead and buy the tire. I am sure you will have folks willing to come out and even a few who will be willing to help.  :D

My next off night is this coming Thursday (8/3)...I can do one then. You're welcome to have the tire shipped here and ride over that evening if you want.

 :)

I'll probably will order both tires. I like to replace both as the same time. I have no idea how old the rear tire is (previous owner), so I think I'll change it as well . Mainly because I'm going to a different type of tire. Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT's, and it has Pilot road 3's on I think. I know they are not GT's.

EDIT: They are pilot road 4's, but not GT's. We 2 up the bike a lot, so i would like to have the stiff side wall for carrying 2 people.

I've run both the gt and non gt pr4 on my zrx, the gt def has a stiffer sidewall. It wasn't as confidence inspiring in the corners when it was rough. This was on a 460 lb bike with 280 lbs of rider and another 150 lbs of crap strapped on the back. Just a reference point. But I Love the pr4's. They'll wheelie in the rain just FYI...

Not sure where you normally order tires from, but I tend to use...

http://www.americanmototire.com/catalog/

I've ordered from them on a Monday night and had tires on my door at lunch time the next day using their standard free shipping (no expedited service). At the latest, it's taken 2 days to get them. Probably depends on where the warehouse is located that drop ships a particular brand.

Hey thanks,

The price was cheaper, I'll have to see if the shipping makes it much higher.

Free shipping. Ordering from them saves me $37.00. I usually order most things from Revzilla for what it's worth.

I been using Americanmotorire for awhile now, as Kevin stated I usually have mine within 2 days. If I order first thing in the morning they have showed up the next day.

Well, it looks as if I'll be parking my bike for a while, until I decide what I'm going to do.  My son got a wreckless driving ticket, and that will probably double or triple our car insurance. I now can't afford to order tires.

Thanks for the offer Kevin, but it looks as if I will be passing at this time.
