WANTED: Campsite @ Barber OCT 7/8th
« on: August 22, 2016, 08:18:46 AM »
I'm not expecting any pity here since I'm so new to the site (and the area), but I have been planning a trip to Barber Motorsports Park for the Vintage Fest this October 7/8/9th and just found out this morning that the camping tickets are now SOLD OUT! :(

I have 3 friends from IA and 2 more from AL who are/were planning to join, but without a campsite we have little choice. Hotels in the area are booked. I live in Huntsville, and driving two hours each way every day isn't an option for us. Is there anyone here who has reserved campsites and has room to spare, we will pay you!! Or other ideas welcomed...

My name is Logan Ficken
Cell number: 712-339-1321
Email: loganficken@yahoo.com

If you know anyone who could help us, have them reach out to me. Thank you

Try Oak Mtn State Park. It's about a 20 minute ride from Barber.

I will call them soon as I get out of work.

Man, I really wanted to stay AT Barber somewhere on the grounds. The reason we hadn't purchased sites yet was due to not knowing if we needed 1 or 2 sites.

I waited too late as well... So I will be camping at the Kymulga Grist mill park. It is near Childersburg. Its about a hour away from Barbers but you get to ride Hwy 25 on the way there...

I have found reservations at Oak Mountain State Park for the dates listed, if anyone else needs somewhere to camp.

We will have 8-10 of us there, some on bikes and some in cars. Thanks,
