Hey folks, been really busy lately so I haven't had time to peruse the forum here but it seems to have been left in some good hands. While checking up on the news I ran across this. http://blog.al.com/gulf-coast/2013/12/motorcycle_racing_on_ice_rolls.html#incart_river_default
PENSACOLA, Florida -- For anyone who's ever watched a motorcycle race and thought "Gee, this would be more fun on an indoor ice rink," the Fire on Ice World Championship Ice Racing might be just the ticket.
The races will be held Jan. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pensacola Bay Center in downtown Pensacola. The motorcycles will be equipped with steel-studded tires for 20 races on the ice that is normally home to the Pensacola Ice Flyers hockey team. Organizers say the bikes can go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds on the ice.
Just seemed to be the kind of thing that can help shake the mid winter blues.
